PHOTO GALLERY: SCE Crews Mobilize as First El Niño Storms Arrive
After months of El Niño preparation, Southern California Edison crews are working around-the-clock to make repairs as the first wave of storms land in Southern California.
Crews have responded to problems across SCE's 50,000-square-mile service territory, from Santa Barbara to Orange County to the Inland Empire. They repaired a power line in Alhambra, worked on transmission lines in Santa Ana and ensured that emergency equipment like transformers, wood utility poles and cable were in good supply to meet whatever needs the storm required.
SCE’s No. 1 priority is the safety of its customers and employees. Never approach or touch a downed power line or dangling wire — even if it appears not to be live. Call 911 immediately.
