Rebuilding or repairing a home after a wildfire often means balancing priorities and a budget.
Southern California Edison’s new Simplified Wildfire Incentives for Transforming Customer Homes (SWITCH) program helps eligible homeowners stretch those dollars further when they choose to go green.
SWITCH offers incentives on qualifying energy-efficient technology customers choose to install when rebuilding or repairing within the Eaton and Palisades fire-affected areas. The program helps reduce out-of-pocket costs while improving home energy performance.
Eligible technologies include:
- Heat pump HVAC systems
- Heat pump water heaters
- Heat pump clothes dryers
- Induction ranges or cooktops
- Smart thermostats
How much can you save?
- Incentives range from $100 to $2,400
- Customers can combine upgrades to increase savings
Who is eligible?
SCE customers and owners of single-family and/or multifamily residential properties within the Eaton and Palisades wildfire impacted areas are eligible. Single-family and multifamily properties (i.e., townhomes and condos) must be individually owned.
Funding is limited and distributed on a first-come, first-served basis through 2028 or until exhausted. Equipment must be new, purchased and installed on or after Aug. 1.
