Serving Up Cost Savings to Local Restaurant Chain
As businesses throughout Southern California Edison’s service area look for ways to improve their bottom lines, SCE offers a helpful tool for business customers that informs them about ways to save money on their electricity bills.
One of those businesses is Fresh Up, an owner and operator of franchised quick service restaurants with locations throughout Southern California.
Ryanne Sanders, an SCE Account Management senior specialist who works with small businesses, reached out to Fresh Up earlier this year when she found that most of the company’s locations could benefit from changes to their rate plans.
Evaluating data from SCE’s online rate plan comparison tool allowed Fresh Up to see how much they could save using different rate plans. As a result, the company switched plans for 14 of its 16 locations within SCE’s service area.
“We’re always open to finding new ways to save for all our locations,” said Elizabeth Aguillon, Fresh Up’s Community and Marketing coordinator.
By switching to more beneficial rate plans, the company expects to save $26,000 on its electric bills each year, based on current energy use.
SCE advises customers to use the rate plan comparison tool to gather information to help them save energy and money. Business customers are also encouraged to sign up for ‘My Account’ on SCE.com and confirm that their contact information is correct.
“Our goal is to ensure that all customers partner with us by participating in programs and services that can benefit their business and reduce energy costs,” Sanders said.
Aguillon thanked SCE for communicating cost-saving measures they can use as resources.
“Staying up to date on new SCE measures is definitely important to our company. It allows us to be efficient and focus on other aspects of the business,” she said.
