This year, SoCalGas's Aliso Canyon facility, a major natural gas storage facility, has restricted operations and is unable to provide gas to fuel the region’s power plants that generate electricity as it has in the past.

To minimize the impact of SoCalGas’s natural gas storage issues on the reliable delivery of power to Southern California Edison customers, SCE is enhancing its programs to reduce the use of electricity at the times of highest customer demand and exploring new energy resources.
