If you’re thinking of making the switch to an electric vehicle or are interested in learning about the benefits and savings of driving green, then make your way down to Electric Avenue at the Orange County Auto Show.

Southern California Edison customers and employees are eligible for a free ticket to the first day of the show — Oct. 3 from 4-10 p.m.

To take advantage of the offer, customers and employees must pre-register for a ticket. SCE customers  can register here. SCE employees can register here.

When SCE customers and employees arrive on Oct. 3, they should head to the SCE entrance and present a printed or digital ticket along with a copy of their current SCE bill or employee badge for admittance to the show. Free tickets are limited to one per customer account and one per employee.

The OC Auto Show runs from Oct. 3-6 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

For the first time at Electric Avenue, customers can check out more than 20 EVs all in one place. Test drives from manufacturers like Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Chrysler and Jaguar will let attendees get behind the wheel and experience firsthand what driving an EV is all about.

While at the show, attendees can visit SCE’s booth in Electric Avenue to find out how they can save up to $1,000 on an EV through SCE’s Clean Fuel Reward program. The program offers rebates to customers who purchase or lease a new or used EV. Unlike most rebate programs, second and third EV owners can apply for a rebate.

They can also find out how they can receive an up to $3,500 rebate on a Nissan LEAF and try out SCE’s easy-to-use, online car comparison tool, SCE Cars, to find out the total cost of car ownership. It is a common myth that EVs are more expensive than their fossil-fueled counterparts. When you factor in rebates and fuel and maintenance costs, EVs are on par or less expensive than traditional cars. You can also feel good about driving an EV because they help clean the air. EVs produce zero smog-forming pollutants.

Additionally, those who drive or have made the decision to drive an EV can find out how they can save money on fuel costs. SCE’s EV rate plan is designed with savings in mind.
