As the summer temperatures heat up, Southern California Edison residential customers can save money with the Power Saver Rewards Program.
The Power Saver Rewards Program is one of SCE’s Demand Response incentive programs that provide its customers with bill credits for reducing energy consumption around the home when Flex Alerts are called. A Flex Alert is a notification the state sends asking Californians to reduce their energy use voluntarily.
Residential customers enrolled in the Power Saver Rewards Program are rewarded for reducing their energy around their home during a Flex Alert, specifically from May 1 to Oct. 31 between 4-9 p.m. Participants earn $2 for each kilowatt-hour of energy saved. The more active customers are about saving energy, the more they earn credits on their electric bills.
Benefits of Power Saver Rewards
- Customers can earn up to $40 in bill credits.
- Participants can make energy adjustments at their discretion.
- Enrollment in the program is free; the more you save, the more you earn.
Power Saver Rewards Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an SCE electricity service customer.
- Have an SCE interval or SmartConnect™ meter.
- Be a customer of a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) that is participating in the program.
- Not be enrolled in a conflicting SCE or third-party energy savings program.
