1. Wait until your dishwasher is full, then run it and allow your dishes to air dry.

2. Replace your incandescent light bulbs with more efficient CFLs or LEDs.

3. Give your air conditioner a rest when you can and cool your home with open windows and fans.

4. Close your blinds to keep out the afternoon heat.

5. Give your dryer a break and hang-dry your clothes.

6. Use power strips for your home electronics and turn off power strips when not in use.

7. Unplug electronic devices and chargers when they aren’t in use.

8. Cook with your grill or microwave instead to keep your home cooler.

9. Set your thermostat to 78 degrees when you are home and 85 degrees or off when are away.
