2023 PSPS Newsletters Available Online at SCE’s Wildfire Communications Center

SCE provides program and resource information to help more than 5 million customers prepare for emergencies, including PSPS outages.

For the past few years, Southern California Edison has produced two Public Safety Power Shutoff newsletters for customers across its service area to prepare for emergencies, including PSPS outages.

For customers in high fire risk areas (HFRA), the newsletter focuses on available customer care programs and resources, preparing for PSPS, wildfire mitigation efforts and the latest on PSPS outage reductions.

For those in non-high fire risk areas, the newsletter focuses more broadly on preparedness for emergencies, from whatever cause, including natural disasters. The newsletter also provides information on managing outage notification preferences.

SCE completed mailing the newsletters to HFRA customers and began outreach to customers in non-high fire risk areas in early June.

Other content highlighted in the 2023 newsletters includes information on the continued progress in reducing the threat of wildfires related to utility equipment.

Both versions of the 2023 PSPS newsletters are available in 19 languages online at SCE’s
Wildfire Communications Center.
