Rebuild Plans
SCE is accelerating plans to underground over 90 circuit miles in and around the city — covering nearly 30 miles of overhead distribution circuits within the current high fire risk areas, including severely damaged areas such as the Pacific Coast Highway.
A small section will remain overhead due to landslide risks, but will be rebuilt with covered conductor. For more information about SCE’s targeted undergrounding (TUG) program, visit sce.com/tug.

RIGHT OF ENTRY
In some cases, we need access to private property and will work with property owners to get permission, a Right of Entry or easement, for undergrounding our equipment.- A Right of Entry (ROE) grants temporary permission to an entity, such as SCE, to enter and access a property for specific purposes (e.g., inspections, surveys or construction preparation).
- An easement is a permanent property right that allows ongoing use of a portion of the property.
