Don’t call it a comeback.

In 2016, the Southern California Edison journeyman trio of Ramon Garcia, Jacob Lybbert and Wil Robinson took the overall first place journeymen team prize at the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas.

Three years later, they have reclaimed the coveted “World Champion - Journeyman Team” trophy at the international event that took place last week.

The 36th annual International Lineman’s Rodeo & Expo attracts the best lineman from around the world to compete in traditional lineman tasks such as the pole climb and hurtman rescue, all while keeping safety at the forefront.

In total, this year’s competition saw 248 journeyman teams, 133 journeyman teams in the Investor Owned Utilities Division and 321 apprentices.

The SCE teams made it to the podium eight times and the utility placed in all four of the journeyman events. See this link for more detailed results.
