As California prepares for another wildfire season, Southern California Edison crews continue to work to install hi-tech wildfire mitigation tools and technologies to make communities safer and more resilient and to help reduce the number of Public Safety Power Shutoffs. More than 25% of SCE’s service territory is in high fire risk areas.
The utility recently filed its second Wildfire Mitigation Plan. Last year, SCE met and, in some cases, exceeded nearly all wildfire mitigation milestones approved by the California Public Utilities Commission.
