Electric vehicles are changing the way we get around, with nearly 2 million sold in California since 2011. They offer many advantages such as lower maintenance costs, zero tailpipe emissions and a quieter, enjoyable ride. Still, some still have questions.
From Sept. 27 to Oct. 6, you can get your questions answered at this year’s National Drive Electric Week. It’s a weeklong list of events happening all over the country, where attendees can enjoy family-friendly activities, learn about the latest EV models and incentives, and discover what EV drivers love about going electric. You may even get the chance to test drive something that catches your eye.

EV Incentives and Rebates
Southern California Edison has several programs to make EVs more affordable for customers.
SCE offers a rebate of $1,000 to all customers who purchase a pre-owned EV and a rebate of $4,000 to income-qualified customers. SCE also offers a program to upgrade home electrical panels, so customers can install EV chargers in older homes where panels are too small for modern power needs.
