INFOGRAPHIC: Why Do Maintenance Outages Occur?
Maintenance outages are a temporary inconvenience with long-term benefits. They are necessary to keep our equipment up-to-date and to provide safe, reliable service for our customers today and into the future.
Southern California Edison has 1.4 million poles, more than 100,000 miles of power lines and millions of pieces of equipment that need to be maintained across our 50,000-square-mile service territory.
We maintain equipment to replace aging infrastructure, install new technology that can help improve the grid and accommodate the ways that customers interact with the grid, and to help support our clean energy vision.
Check out this infographic for more details about maintenance outages and what we do to help minimize their impact on our customers.
