Edison International and Southern California Edison volunteers in their bright yellow T-shirts were back in the community to participate in the Orange County Food Bank’s annual National Family Volunteer Day event recently. While the event is typically held every year, last year volunteer opportunities were put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last Saturday, more than 200 Edison volunteers with their families and friends came together, in person, for a good cause. Volunteers helped pack 4,881 boxes with a variety of food items, such as cereal, canned food and pasta, to support families and individuals in need throughout Orange County.

In addition to volunteering, Edison International, SCE’s parent company, donated $5,000 to the Orange County Food Bank, a program of the Community Action Partnership of Orange County, as part of the $20 million the company will give to organizations throughout its service area this year.

Here is a photo essay highlighting the recent volunteering efforts.
